In addition to his great success as Richard Kimbel on the TV series The Fugitive, David Janssen was a talented and prolific actor starring in 4 television series, appearing in 44 feature films, 20 television movies, and countless other appearances over a career cut short from his unexpected death at age 48.
Fun Fact:
Janssen was a three-time Emmy nominee for his role as Dr. Richard Kimble in ABC’s “The Fugitive.” Wildly popular, the final episode in 1967 was the highest rated TV show in history. He also appeared in “The Green Berets” (1969), “The Shoes of the Fisherman” (1969), “Two Minute Warning” (1976) and in his final screen appearance (just weeks before his death) “Inchon” (1981).
