David Warfield
Fun Fact
Although David Warfield was considered one of the wealthiest entertainers of his day, he didn’t get rich from his acting abilities. Later in life Warfield turned down offers to work in films and successfully invested his earnings in real estate with Marcus Loew. Their enterprises eventually developed into a nationally known entertainment corporation. Marcus Loew was a pioneer of the motion picture industry who formed Loew’s Theatres and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio (MGM).
