Known for her sunny disposition and Southern charm, Dinah Shore rose from a successful recording artist with her sultry renditions of "Blues in the Night," "I’ll Walk Alone," and "Buttons and Bows," to a household name with her daytime talk show. In a career that spanned over 40 years, she recorded 80 top hits, starred in a handful of feature films, hosted a series of TV specials through the 50s and 60s and hosted two talk shows in the 1970s. TV Guide ranked her at number 16 on their list of the top 50 television stars of all time.
