She performed in leading and supporting roles in such classics as Mildred Pierce, Anatomy of a Murder, Having Wonderful Time, the Marx Brother's movie At the Circus, and Grease. She worked alongside such screen legends as Clark Gable, Lucille Ball, Ginger Rodgers, Katharine Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart and Marlene Dietrich.
