best_know_for: Mary Tyler Moore was an American actress, producer, and all around great human being. She is best known for her roles on The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966) and The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977), which "helped define a new vision of American womanhood." Moore won seven Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Ordinary People. In addition to her personal acting career, in 1969, Moore and her husband Grant Tinker founded MTM Enterprises, Inc. which produced The Mary Tyler Moore Show and other successful television shows and films. MTM Enterprises produced American sitcoms and drama television series such as Rhoda, Lou Grant and Phyllis (all spin-offs from The Mary Tyler Moore Show), The Bob Newhart Show, The Texas Wheelers, The Bob Crane Show, Three for the Road, The Tony Randall Show, WKRP in Cincinnati, The White Shadow, Friends and Lovers, St. Elsewhere, Newhart, and Hill Street Blues, and was later sold to Television South. All in, all of the MTM Enterprise shows won a total of 80 Emmy's including 29 just for The Mary Tyler Moore Show alone. Upon her death, she was laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield CT.

best_know_for: Marie Trintignant was a French film and stage actress born into a well known film industry parents as her father was an actor and her mother was a director, producer and screenwriter. She appeared in over 30 movies during the span of her shortened 36-year career. She had already made five films before appearing with Patrick Dewaere in her first critical success, Série Noire (1979) at the age of 17. The next milestone in her career was with the Claude Chabrol in his Une Affaire de Femmes (The Story Of Women, 1988) in which she played a young prostitute, Lulu, in wartime Vichy France. After her narrow survival after a serious car accident in 1990, Trintignant hardly allowed the pace of her work to slacken off and during the next decade starred in 21 films, among them Les Amants du Pont-Neuf (The Lovers On The Bridge, 1991), Betty (1992, again with Chabrol) and Cible Émouvante (Wild Target, 1993) with Jean Rochefort and Guillaume Depardieu. She was a victim of domestic violence when she was murdered by her boyfriend Bertrand Cantat. Upon her death, she was laid to rest at Cimetière du Père Lachaise in Paris France.

best_know_for: Ticky Holgado was a French character actor known for his short stature, distinctive face and heavy Southern accent. Holgado's original vocation was to be a musician. After playing in a band as a teenager, he found work in the French music industry and was eventually employed as a personal secretary by singer Claude François and later by Johnny Hallyday. He became an actor in his mid-thirties and began appearing in small roles, mostly in comedy films. He gradually became a familiar face in French films. In 1991, Holgado appeared in two films that allowed him to gain greater fame, Delicatessen by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro, then Une époque formidable..., by Gérard Jugnot, where he played a part written especially for him. During the years that followed, Holgado was very active as a character actor. He was nominated twice to the César Award for Best Supporting Actor, first for Une époque formidable..., then for French Twist (1994). Unfortunately the talented actor had to step back from films while he fought a five-year losing battle with lung cancer. In the end he was featured in over 65 films including international hits "Amelie," "Manon of the Spring," and "Les Miserables."
