Tony Randall (1920–2004) was an American actor best known for his work in television, film, and theater. He began his career on Broadway in the 1940s and gradually established himself as a versatile character actor, appearing in films such as Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?, Pillow Talk, and The Mating Game. His most famous role came in television, where he played the fussy, intellectual Felix Unger on The Odd Couple (1970–1975), earning widespread acclaim and several Emmy nominations. Randall continued acting on stage and screen for decades, including a notable role as the voice of the narrator in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Fun Facts

Randall was married to his high school sweetheart, Florence Gibbs, from 1938 until her death from cancer in 1992. They had no children. In 1995, at the age of 75, he married 25-year-old Heather Harlan and they had two children together.

Randall was well-known for being a guest panelist on the game show What’s My Line?, from 1958 to 1967, Password, The Hollywood Squares, and the $10,000 and $20,000 Pyramids. He also parodied his pompous image with an appearance as a “contestant” on The Gong Show in 1977. Yes … the legendary actor of stage and screen appeared on the Gong Show!

Randall was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and at the time of his death, Randall had appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show 105 times, more often than any other celebrity.

As you enter the cemetery take the first right and prepare to drive up a step hillside. As you make your way up the hill stay to the left and look for the large COHEN mausoleum on your right. Park and walk down the hill to the left of the Cohen mausoleum and walk to the third row and look to your right for the simple marker for the talented Mr. Randall. Note this cemetery is closed on Saturdays.
