Unlike her more famous sisters, Constance and Norma, Natalie was an occasional silent film actress and wife of silent film actor and comedian Buster Keaton. She appeared in D.W. Griffith's Intolerance (1916), and Buster Keaton's Our Hospitality (1923), her final appearance.
Fun fact:
After her divorce from Keaton, Natalie never remarried, and in her solitary existence (like her sisters) developed an alcohol problem. Her hatred and enmity towards her former husband persisted for the rest of her life and she refused to speak of him – even changing her sons last name to “Talmadge” and refusing visitation with their father. It is said that when the older son, James, received his drivers license he and his brother got in a car and drove straight to their father’s house and had a wonderful, touching reunion with him.
James Talmadge Keaton worked as a photographer and publicist for 20th Century studios. He passed away in 2007.
His younger brother Bob never pursued a film career and died in 2009.
