American actor best known for his role on the 1960s television comedy series "Green Acres" as Oliver Wendell Douglas. Eddie Albert was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Roman Holiday (1954), and the second in 1973 for The Heartbreak Kid (1973). All in all, Eddie Albert appeared in over 500 TV series, movies, stage productions and variety shows. Eddie Albert was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6441 Hollywood Boulevard.
