Dolores O'Riordan
The Rest of the Story …
The Cranberries continued to release successful albums throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, including To the Faithful Departed (1996) and Bury the Hatchet (1999). These albums produced hits like “Salvation” and “Promises.” O’Riordan’s lyrics often explored themes of love, loss, and social issues, resonating with fans globally. In 2003, the band went on a hiatus, and O’Riordan pursued a solo career. She released her debut solo album, Are You Listening? (2007), which was well received, showcasing her versatility as an artist.
The Cranberries reunited in 2009, and O’Riordan continued to perform with them until her tragic death. The band released Roses in 2012, followed by Something Else in 2017, which featured acoustic renditions of their classic songs. Sadly, Dolores O’Riordan passed away on January 15, 2018, at the age of 46, in London, where she had been staying for a recording session. Her death was later ruled an accidental drowning due to alcohol intoxication.
